High Wycombe is a large town in Buckinghamshire, England, which, until 1946, was also known as Wycombe, Chepping Wycombe, and even Chipping Wycombe. Only 29 miles west-north-west of Charing Cross in London, the town has a population of over 95,000, the town’s weekly market has been held on the High Street since medieval times.

High Wycombe’s past has been a combination of industrial and market town, with a particular emphasis on furniture production.
