We believe it was originally used by Lew Harris who ran his clothing manufacturing business, Harella, here in the 1940s. Harella was hugely successful – the wider textile industry regarded it as one of the most enterprising firms in the field, and it was Lew Harris himself who initiated the production of a wider range of sizes for women’s garments – thanks Lew! By the time we took it over in 2015, it had become really neglected. We inherited just 3 tenants and a lot of pigeons. Over the last four years we lovingly restored it bottom to top, finally adding the Roof Top Garden and Slide in 2018
