Blog Image

FlexiOffices have recently produced a study on the average monthly price per desk for offices close to tube stations in London (Zone 1). A continuation of this study leads us to shine the spotlight on specific London boroughs - starting with Westminster.

There are seventeen tube stations in Westminster, and the average monthly price per desk for nearby offices varies greatly. We are going to focus on a number of those tube stations, providing you with the average monthly price per desk, along with information on things to do around the area.

There are many tube lines which run through Westminster borough. - the Central line (£683), the Piccadilly line (£788), the Victoria line (£706), the Metropolitan line (£677), the District line (£708), the Bakerloo line (£679), the Northern line (£667), the Jubilee line (£793), the Circle line (£692) and the Hammersmith & City line (£715).

The study reveals that the most expensive tube line on average running through Westminster is the Jubilee line (£793) - which caters for Baker Street (£800), Bond Street (£850) and Green Park (£1000). Whilst the Northern line is the most affordable on average (£667).

There is an intriguing contrast in average monthly price per desk for tube stations in Westminster. With Edgware Road (£400) offering one of the most affordable options in London, and in contrast Green Park (£1000) is one of the most expensive in London. Whilst monthly incurred costs are a key decision factor when deciding on where to move your company, the local amenities available and convenience of commute are also important. We review the area around a handful of tube stations in Westminster borough.

The most affordable London tube station in Westminster

Edgware Road (£400) - Edgware Road is the most affordable station where you can rent an office space in Westminster, with an average monthly price per desk of £400. This is one of the most affordable areas in central London to have an office space. The station can be accessed by numerous tube lines, including the Bakerloo line, the Hammersmith & City line, the Circle line and the District line. This means that employees have a wide range of options when commuting - with added convenience of commute, comes happy employees! Edgware Road is famous for its Oriental population. There are many cultural Asian restaurants based around the tube station. Valentino a great choice from Persian Menu. Check out Maroush for a spot of Mediterranean cuisine. Slemani offers delicious Middle Eastern food from the grill. Edgware Road is sandwiched between both Hyde Park and Regents Park, which short walks from the tube station. Employees of companies situated near Edgware Road would be able to spend lunch breaks strolling around the parks.

Positioned adjacent to The Ritz and Green Park itself, the average monthly price per desk is £1000 for the surrounding area. Those who have an office space in Green Park can enjoy the excesses of Mayfair, with numerous high-end restaurants, bars and clubs - there is no limit to the amount of enjoyment that can be had. Our pick of the best restaurants to hold team lunches, or meet with clients include The Wolseley, Gymkhama and Goodman. Each offers a unique style which is guartenteed to inspire and impress.

Our favourite tube station in Westminster

Marylebone (£750) - Marylebone station is just touching the corner of the Borough of Westminster. Offices are available from an average monthly price of £750.  The station is served via Bakerloo Line. At FlexiOffices, we love the surrounding area of Marylebone, it's fashionable and offers specialist shops and boutiques for employees to spoil themselves during their lunch break, or after work!  There are countless restaurants offering delicious cuisine. Time Out London recommends Patty & Bun for good juicy Burgers, Golden Hind for Fish & Chips and Comptoir Libanais which is a Lebanese canteen with amazing Menu options. Gloucester Place and Dorset Street offices are highly recommended by us if you are looking for a beautiful, fully furnished and serviced office space.
