the workspace peopleAn established working community involving over 120 independent companies within and related to the design field. It was built as the result of an idea to create a fertile work environment of shared facilities and experience. The building is a converted factory consisting of two attractive brick and glass studio wings, each with galleries overlooking the courtyards, and a central link block housing reception and conference areas. The conference facilities and courtyards are hired out for meetings, parties and exhibitions. A similar site next door was acquired in March 2002 and a further 10,000 square feet of office and showroom space added.
The studios are located in Lots Road, Chelsea, between the Kings Road and the Thames. They are opposite Lots Road Auction Rooms and close to Chelsea Harbour. Nearest underground Sloane Square/Fulham Broadway - bus route 22, 11, C3. Undercover parking at Chelsea Harbour, pay and display and residents. Imperial Wharf is less than 2 minutes walk away. It runs from Clapham Junction to West Brompton, Olympia, Shepherd's Bush and Willesden Junction.
