More than 16% of Ealing’s 46,000 inhabitants are retired, though the average age of the area is 34. Over 52% are educated to degree level and around 20% of the total population are migrants.

Train services, First Great Western, Heathrow Connect and the London Overground service all run through Ealing. The District Line runs along the southern border, travelling through Turnham Green, Chiswick Park, Acton Town and Ealing Common.
