Considering a serviced office in Shepherd's Bush Underground?

With the largest urban shopping centre in Europe, Shepherd’s Bush is a thriving hub of retail and culture. With ample places to eat, shop and relax, as well as a corporate district, this area has a lot to offer businesses and their employees. A smart neighbourhood with a central location and excellent transport links, Shepherd’s Bush is a favourite among urbanites.

Nearby places of interest

The top attractions of central London are around half an hour away, offering a wide choice of locations to meet with business representatives. However, Shepherd’s Bush itself has plenty for both tenants and visiting clients alike.

At lunchtimes, occupants can head to Westfield London Shopping Centre for high-end retail brands, small boutiques, cafés, restaurants and fine-dining experiences. Shepherd’s Bush Market is a top destination for fresh food and ethnic cuisine. The internationally famous, Portobello Road Market, is also less than ten minutes away, offering traditional market food, as well as clothing and antiques.

For clients with an interest in sport, Queens Park Rangers Football Club is within walking distance and surrounded by restaurants and pubs.

The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire provides entertainment late into the night, with a monthly line-up including live music and comedy performances.

The area is peppered with trees, as well as green open spaces and public parks, such as Shepherd’s Bush Common, Cathnor Park, Brook Green and Hammersmith Park, offering the opportunity for al fresco dining and relaxing in the summer.

Already in the neighbourhood

Shepherd’s Bush has become a hub for media firms in recent years. The area’s proximity to Soho’s established media networks has made it all the more alluring for new businesses in this sector.

Shepherd’s Bush is also a thriving area for retail, home to small independent companies, as well as global brands.

Area history

Shepherd’s Bush remained a rural village until well into the 19th century. One explanation for the origin of the Shepherd’s Bush name is that it was where shepherds rested underneath specially trimmed Hawthorn bushes, on route to Smithfield Market.

Today, it is a bustling metropolitan centre of culture and commerce, attracting both residents and businesses alike.

Population and demographics

Despite being centrally situated, Shepherd’s Bush has a large residential population, made up of 43,366 people. The average age of the area is 32 and 14% of people who live here are retired.

Shepherd's Bush Underground Transport

Shepherd’s Bush benefits from a central Zone 2 location and has convenient travel connections. The area is serviced by the Central Underground line, through Holland Park and Shepherd’s Bush stations, as well as by the Hammersmith & City and the Circle lines through Wood Lane, Shepherd’s Bush Market and Goldhawk Road stations.

Less than a mile to the south of Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith’s bus and tube stations provide tenants with further links for transport around London, including access to the District and Piccadilly Underground lines.

For occupants who prefer to travel via mainline rail, the London Overground and Southern services call at Shepherd’s Bush station, before travelling south to Kensington Olympia.
