Luton is a large town and unitary authority of Bedfordshire, England, 30 miles (51 kilometres) north of London.
London Luton Airport opened in 1938 and is now one of England's major airports. The University of Bedfordshire is based in the town. The Luton Carnival, held on the late May bank holiday, is the largest one-day carnival in Europe.
The town was for many years famous for hat-making and was also home to a large Vauxhall Motors factory; the head office of Vauxhall Motors is still situated in the town. Car production at the plant began in 1905 and continued until 2002, but commercial vehicle production remains.
Serviced offices in Luton are located approximately 30 miles from central London and offer easy access to the M1 motorway and London Luton Airport. Modern, purpose built business centres offer state of the art technology for those tenants looking for serviced offices in Luton.

Luton has excellent transport links, situated less than 30 miles north of the centre of London, giving it good links with the city and other parts of the country via the motorway network and National Rail. Luton is connected to the major arterial route, the M1 motorway and the other major roads, the A6 and A505. The M1 connects with Luton at Junctions 10 and 11, to the south and west providing access to London and the north.
Luton Airport is 2 miles (3.2 km) from Junction 10a of the M1 motorway and is the fourth largest airport serving London after Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. It is one of London's five international airports along with London City Airport. Serving the airport are EasyJet, Monarch Airlines, Thomson Airways and Ryanair. Most routes served are within Europe, although there are some charter airline routes to intercontinental destinations.
Luton is served by three railway stations, Luton, Luton Airport Parkway and Leagrave, all on the same line. First Capital Connect's high frequency Thameslink route services run north to Bedford and south to Brighton via several central London stations. An alternative, provided by East Midlands Trains regional and intercity services, runs north to Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln, Sheffield, Leeds and other cities, and south to London St Pancras International on the Midland Main Line.
There are plans to introduce 24-hour rail services to Luton and Luton Airport Parkway. The Thameslink Programme will provide rail links to southwards to Guildford, East Grinstead, Ashford, Dartford and the South Coast
