GlaxoSmithKline has plants in Ware and Stevenage. Hatfield is now the site of a business park and new campus for the University of Hertfordshire. This major new employment site is home to such companies as EE, Computacenter and Ocado. Warner Bros. also owns and runs Warner Studios in Leavesden.
Hertfordshire lies across routes between London and the North, the North-West and the Midlands and as a consequence, serviced offices in Hertfordshire are well-served by road and rail routes and also by canals. The county has access to some of the principal roads in England: A1, A1(M), A5, A6, A41, M1, M11, and M25.
Elstree has had the likes of Big Brother UK and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? filmed there. The Harry Potter series was filmed at Leavesden Film Studios, as was the 1996 James Bond film, GoldenEye.
