Considering a serviced office in Knightsbridge?

Knightsbridge has been synonymous with the upper classes for centuries. Today, it is frequented by wealthy residents and businesses alike, with some of the most globally recognisable names calling it home. Expensive shops, exclusive hotels and luxurious bars line its streets, meaning the Knightsbridge postcode is highly sought after.

Nearby places of interest

The iconic department stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols can be found in Knightsbridge, as can the flagship stores of many British and international designer fashion houses, like Burberry. The area includes some of London’s most renowned Michelin starred restaurants, such as Heston Blumenthal’s ‘Dinner’ and Gordon Ramsey’s ‘Petrus’, which are both perfect venues for entertaining visiting clients.

Hyde Park is situated just to the north of the area, providing a great place to stroll or run during lunchtimes, or for al fresco dining and relaxing during the summer. There are many events that take place in Hyde Park every year, from concerts to guided walks, or from sporting occasions to food and drink events. There are also many cafés and restaurants scattered throughout the Park, serving food daily.

For a full day out, take clients to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum or the Saatchi gallery, finishing the afternoon with cream tea at Harrods. The top attractions of central London are less than 20 minutes away and offer a plethora of sites, activities and eateries, such as Tower Bridge, the London Eye, the Tate Modern and Leadenhall Market.

Already in the neighbourhood

Knightsbridge has a wide variety of companies lining its streets, from high-class interior designers to respected law firms. There are several large oil companies that have made their headquarters here, as well as a smattering of investment companies.

Area history and pop culture

Historically, Knightsbridge was a ‘no man’s land’ between the established areas of Chelsea, Kensington and Charing. It did not develop at the same rate as towns around it and so became an unsavoury haunt, known as a hotspot for villains and highwaymen. Since the 18th century however, it has maintained a reputation of exclusivity and prestige, today being a favourite destination for tourists and the wealthy.

Population and demographics

The borough of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, as a whole, has a population of nearly 10,000 people, with a higher proportion of over 65 year olds than the rest of the Westminster area.

Knightsbridge Transport

There are also several Barclays Hire Bike hubs around the area, including near Knightsbridge station, along the border of Hyde Park and next to Harrods. Their convenient location means tenants can easily cycle to work for part, if not all, of their journey.

The following bus routes service Knightsbridge: 52, 137, 452, C1 and N137.

Tenants can take the Piccadilly Underground line directly to Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner or South Kensington stations. Green Park station, one stop further from Hyde Park Corner, is an interchange station, connecting occupants who travel from northern parts of London with the Victoria and Jubilee lines. Sloane Square and South Kensington stations cater for the Circle and District lines, offering a route to south, west and central parts of London.
