Northampton is the county town of Northamptonshire but other large population centres include Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden and Daventry.
The region of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and the South Midlands is described as "Motorsport Valley, a global hub" for the motor sport industry.
